• After a year and change at CollabNet, I'm finally having a performance review today. Six months ago this would have involved only my immediate boss, but now it also involves the vice-president of engineering (who, six months ago, was my immediate boss), which means it takes even longer to arrange a time slot for it.
• Elise claims she is going to kidnap me tonight and take me to meet Pete Peterson II. The whole Pete Peterson II thing is really unfortunate in its timing. Don't get me wrong; I regard Pete Peterson II as the brother I never had. But Peter Hodgson, the other brother I never had, is in town for roughly the same time period and I tenatively had tonight chalked up to a meeting with him. However, I also have Saturday chalked up to him, so tonight can be Pete Peterson II night with few ill effects.

Fri Jul 27 2001 13:19: So, woohoo, Kevin is making Issuezilla use Helm's permission server, and today I finished rewriting the CVS permission checker to use it. I got rid of about 200 lines of Perl; the value to society is enormous!

I choked on my water a while ago. Jeff said "Are you okay? Do you need a beer?" Jeff, I can't even handle my water.
