MySQL 3.x doesn't implement the SQL UNION command, but you can fake it. This saved my life just now.

I have mastered the use of the ice cream machine ("mastery", for me, being the level of skill at which I stop wanting the store-bought stuff, previously reached with eg. pasta sauce and non-ice cream desserts).
