(2) Wed Jul 19 2006 07:07 I Am A: Mike Popovic heard my earlier song I Am A Cowboy and filked it for his daughter Zoe. He turned it into I Am A Pirate, which I dutifully recorded. Both songs are now part of a concept album called I Am A, which explores the spectrum of authenticity and total fakiness.

Where will the trail of improvisation lead next? Ninjas? Robots? Some other nerdy role-play?

I am a zombie, I don't wear a hat,
I live up in Pittsburgh and I have a dead cat,
I lurch through the city and quarantine zone,
and I terrify survivors with a guttural groan.

(Actually that's a bit off-message, I'm in particularly heavy zombie mode today, and begin to forget they aren't real. I'll rewrite it and email.)
