News You Can Bruise for 2006 January 5 (entry 0)

(1) Thu Jan 05 2006 21:34 PST Bill the Galactic Hero: Funny, well detailed over-the-top '60s satire from Harry Harrison, who wrote the story that became Soylent Green. Has the same thermodynamically bizarre attitude towards overconsumption as Soylent Green. I was (SPOILER) fairly disappointed that Bill never actually became a Galactic Hero, but that was probably intentional. I thought it captured a Paranoia-type mood much better than the Paranoia novelization.
