News You Can Bruise for 2006 July 5 (entry 0)

(2) Wed Jul 05 2006 22:50: Today I realized that we've lived in New York for six months and I haven't put up any pictures of our neighborhood in Astoria. Then I realized that this was because I didn't have a camera. But now I do, though it's falling apart and doesn't take pictures half the time. So yesterday when I was walking around I took some pictures. Since it was the Fourth I paid special attention to flags. Here are the pictures. I tried to get one of the statue of Athena, but that was one of the pictures the camera didn't really take.

See, the American flag mural by my apartment reads "STOP US IMPERIALISM". Not sure what that says.
