(1) Sun Dec 28 2008 07:48 Best of Bookmarks: September-October:
I didn't really post any links for September due to travel, so I've made up for it by explaining these best-of links in more detail than usual.
- Internet Archived webpage of a defunct band whose CD I do have, Lawsuit. It's unclear to me whether the lyrics to "North Dakotachrome" suitably convey the pun-pocalypse that is the song, so maybe I'll do another Music Piracy Minute. I've felt for a while that with the right marketing, North Dakotachrome could have become a cultural touchstone for the presidential election. "Alaska politician, do you talk to anyone?"
- Of the many things available for free on Hulu (within the US), one of the best is The Film Crew.
- A long time ago I read something about the quantum state of Saturn's moon Hyperion that didn't make any sense. I thought it would remain a mystery forever, the kind of mystery where you think you might have hallucinated the mystery in the first place, but then I found this weblog entry explaining it.
- A gorgeous Nintendo-Power-like guidebook to Mother 3. Still not for sale yet. I guess making all those clay models takes time.
