Somehow we ended up eating brunch in a sports bar. "Pork and Beans" by Weezer played on the jukebox. I looked up near the end of the song to see a clip of a NASCAR pit crew throwing Gatorade on their driver from bottles. It was a wonderful synchronicity.

Three years ago I went on vacation with my mother to Montana and Alberta. We saw the Tyrrell Museum and Dinosaur Provincial Park and other dinosaur-related things we'd been waiting twenty years to see. It was the trip of a lifetime, and the last big trip my mother took. I found her travelogue of the trip and reread it; it was nice to hear her voice again. I wish I could put up the pictures but they're all on paper that would need to be scanned.
