My Seussical Life for 2005 January 31 (entry 0)

(5) Mon Jan 31 2005 09:55: I am so cold!! My Texas body thermostat is not adjusting to Kansas winters. But I never adjusted to the Utah cold, either. Only one full month of winter left to endure. This year.

And I cannot tolerate the heat. I would prefer a cooler climate all year long. Between the two of us there should be a happy middle. Spring and Fall in Kansas usually meet my criteria. How about you?

Definitely. And last summer suited me fine, except during visits to the outdoor swimming pool (too breezy and cool for swimming). Actually, it was feeling spring-ish this evening. I felt a hopeful feeling.

The difference between Bakersfield and Los Angeles--so short in distance yet so wide in temperature--constantly amazes me. I can't believe I lived here so long without really realizing how blessed a place it is.

Of course, a Bakersfield winter isn't a *real* winter, except maybe at 5 am. It doesn't hold a candle to London or *shudder* New York.
