Jabberwocky for 2004 December 31 (entry 0)

(3) Fri Dec 31 2004 16:42 Ahhhh! My Own Bed: Leonard and I drove back from Youtahh yesterday. I didn't feel so well, so I went to bed and did not arise until 3 p.m. today. Now I'm going to go back. I made leek soup, which is pretty good. (I dont think Rachel liked it.)

Chris Leger made a poem out of my leek soup recipe.

Beautiful soup, so rich and green
Waiting in a hot tureen
Sauteed the leeks until brown
I hope it stays down.

What exactly is a leek? I've probably eaten one many times yet still do not know what it is.

An onion relative. Very mild. I bought them when/where I bought the fennel. Today is braised fennel. I guess.
