[Comments] (3) Home hot, er sweet home: We got back last night after driving forever from Mesa, AZ. I really need to learn patience. My niece, who is almost 4 is such a drama queen and her favorite thing to say is "watch me" so you know she has to be center of attention. After being in the car with people for 22 hours plus over 3 days it can wear on ya, but it was really fun despite the little things.

The funeral was lovely, and I love learning about people's lives. Such impressive things people have done that you didn't know about until occasions like these, b/c you were too young to remember or where never told. It is nice to feel apart of the family although you are a newcomer. I am glad that Aaron is tight with his family and siblings like I am with mine.

When we were there my feet and ankles got soo swollen. I can't wear my shoes anymore, but if I wear sandals my feet get worse b/c there is no support. It looks hilarious. My toes look like little sausages. When I walk, I can feel and see the tops of my feet jiggle like jelly. It looks as if you take a pin and prick the skin, water would burst out. I have what the Smith's call cankles, (where your calves and ankles are the same size). At night though it is the worst b/c the house is super hot from all day and I just can't sleep. We need to get out swamp cooler fixed and working again. Also, Joe and Louise have a window AC unit that they will sell to us, so I want Aaron to install it in our bedroom. I didn't know it would be this bad. Luckily we are going to Seven Peaks tonight for family night.

Ohhhh, don't worry pretty girl, you'll have no choice but to learn patience--PRAY, GROVEL, BEG for patience--soon enough. It's easier when you are learning patience from your own baby. And about your swamp cooler, call your landlord. Doh! : )

Move here! It's all about ceiling fans and sleeping with the windows open. That's mostly free.

Sorry about the baby thing. My sister had the worst pregnancies (got so big, swollen, 20-hour deliveries, c-sections, etc). Then there is my sister-in-law, who pops out ten-pound babies in like two hours and barely even looked pregnant. Sorry you are the former; I hope Susie is the latter.

Yes, I am jealous of Alyson who "only threw up twice in the 19 mos she was pregnant". The curse landed on me I guess. We dread calling the landlord b/c sometimes he is what you could say senile, and fixing stuff is a hassle. I know what you are going to say Aly, and I don't want to hear it! ;)
