Yesterday, we rented The Last Samurai from Clean Flicks. I was very impressed with the movie. It was still violent, (what do you expect) but I thought it was better than Gladiator for example. I just thought that the morals and values in this movie were very noble and the acting was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the film.
Aaron and I are leaving for separate trips this weekend. I am going to visit Alyson in Kansas, and Aaron and his brothers are taking a fishing trip to Alaska for 10 days. Aaron is in for some amazing experiences, charter boat fishing for salmon and 100 lbs + halibut, backpacking through some of the prettiest scenery in the world, (Alaska is absolutely breath-taking) camping, fishing for meals, and hopefully bringing home yummy fresh fish for me! Preferably the halibut, it is excellent. Not to mention all the glaciers he will see and rivers and sea life in the Resurrection Bay. I love Alaska, and Aaron and I would love to live there for a few years after dental school (no plans hammered out or official), but if we do live there, anyone is welcome to visit and partake in this kind of fun. As much fun as that sounds, I think I will have just as much hanging out with my two favorite nephews and my sis, and Dave if he has time to play. I can't wait to leave on Sat for my vacation!!!

This weekend was fun. Aaron and I went to see Harry Potter. It was a lot better than the last two for sure. They seemed to be flying through the movie, like I kept expecting more to happen but I guess there is only so much you can show in 2 hours. The acting has improved as well.
