< Mama's boy
Problem solved >

[Comments] (5) The embarrassment ensues: Today on our walk, Lily hollers to me, "Is that a black man, mama?" as we walk by our African American neighbor who is getting in his car. And just in case he didn't hear the first time, Lily repeats herself again and again and again. I am sure he wasn't offended, but Lily knows her colors too well for her own good.

Oh my gosh--such a two year old thing to do...don't you love the embaressment that comes along with having children???

I remember in the grocery store when Eden saw a "Little Person" and cooed (very loudly)... "Look Mama, it's a liiittlle Daddy!" Right beside him.

I hope that most adults are understanding when these sorts of things happen. I know I just smile and laugh when small children ask me why my tooth in the front did not grow back (referencing the space in my teeth).

Lily is a very smart girl.

Ethan asked a lady in Target why she had a "purple face"? And yes, she was, in fact, African-American. Nice manners.

I'm starting to think that maybe I'm glad Caden isn't talking outside of the Wiggles and Blue's CLues languages much yet...

OK, "purple face" is hilarious.
