I know what you mean. After trying to barter my car, however, it is hard to like anything that is tied to buisness (sorry John--no offense).

First of all, Susie is right. Business is life (or life is business...) Running a hospital is a business, too. And business is more than dickering for discounts. That's called "Sales," and is sort of a business school drop-out profession, in my opinion.

Second of all, if you can't beat them, join them.
