I went to Thriftie's and we got 2 strawberry ice cream cones.
We went to the hospital and we saw our new baby and it was black [ie. covered in new-baby gunk] and probably it was starting to cry. Our new baby's name is Rachel. I love her. The baby was a girl and it didn't look like a girl to me but it was.

Leonard's comments:

My father writing from my point of view about my sister Rachel. I can't help but wonder whether the last sentence here is something I said, or whether it came out of my parents' being surprised that Rachel was a girl.
