Leonard and I climbed Mt. Hollywood this afternoon. Leonard walked & ran all the way up and down. Then we stopped by the Observatory for a few minutes. The view of Los Angeles and the valley was beautiful.

On the left, St. Florian, patron of metallurgists, sits pouring water over fire beneath a converter for steel-making. A light and key recall Benjamin Franklin's discovery of lightning's electrical nature. Otto von Guericke holds an early device which produced electricity through friction.
Leonard's comments:
You used to be able to go right up to the Hollywood sign, and this may have been the time I remember when we did that.
