Leonard and I went to the Page Museum today after planting our garden and helping the Boswells plant their garden this morning. We saw bones of sloths, mammoths, saber-tooths. We planted corn, tomatoes, peanuts, squash, okra, peppers, pickling cucumbers and cantaloupes.

SABERTOOTHED CAT FAMILY
Smilodon californicus
The sabertoothed cat was a fierce hunter that attacked its victims with its saber-like teeth and powerful front forelimbs. This family of cats has been realistically modeleed in fiberglass. Similar models of other animals are placed outside the museum in Hancock Park.
Leonard's comments:
Peanuts? That's pretty unusual. I love that saber-toothed cats are called Smilodon.
