Leonard,
When I was in Washington, DC, I saw this airplane -- which was the very first airplane to fly.
I love you.
Daddy.

On December 17, 1903, at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, Wilbur and Orville Wright achieved the first manned, powered flight in this airplane. Piloted by Orville and driven by twin propellers working from a 13-horsepower motor, the first flight lasted 12 seconds.Photograph by Dane A. Penland
Leonard's comments:
I never noticed this before, but the Wright Flyer looks like something Marcel Duchamp would build.I went online looking to see if the airplane had a name, but it was just called the Wright Flyer I.
