Leonard and I went to the Track and Field at the Coliseum today with 2 of Dusty's relatives. We saw the 20 km Walk - Two athletes from Mexico winning Gold and Silver medals. We also saw Steve Ovett and Sebastian Coe run in the 800m heats.
Leonard's comments:
Dusty was and still is the president of MAP. The 20 kilometer walk is an honest-to-goodness Olympic event.I complain a lot in these entries about my dad not spending time with me, but it goes both ways. If I'd known he was going to die soon, I would have put more effort into enjoying these endless trips to track and field events.
