Inscription:

Dear Leonard, I saw some of these scoprions at the Insect Zoo in Washington, DC. You are a special little boy. I am doing okay here in Hawaii.
I love you.
Daddy.

Postcard front:

Postcard back:

This giant hairy Scorpion, Hadrurus hirsutus, is found in the Southwestern United States. Most scorpions live in warm dry climates. They have pincers and a long tail with a stinger at its tip which is used for self-defense. Most stings are not serious.

Leonard's comments:

Postcard has some wear on one corner for reasons possibly related to the awesomeness of the giant hairy Scorpion.
