Frances Leonard and I headed out to the North Shore and drove through many pineapple and sugar cane fields. We stopped at the Dole Pineapple field and saw them growing.

Pineapple from Hawaii has long been recognized as a world favorite. With the first planting in 1890, Hawaii now produces twice as much canned pineapple as the rest of the world combined.
