We stayed last night at a local motel and heard the trains coming through.

Postcard back:

SANDERSON, Texas - County seat of Terrell County. Nestled in the rugged hills of the Trans-Pecos region, Sanderson is a terminal for the Southern Pacific Railroad and center of the area's ranching industry. Old Mexico lies just beyond the line of blue hills in the background.

Leonard's comments:

Lose one lousy war and suddenly you're "Old Mexico."
