We sure saw lots of volcanoes on this trip. The Sulphur Works were quite interesting in Carson.

Postcard back:

The Big Umbrella, or Mushroom, seen from Anderson, 50 miles distant. On May 22, 1915, after 3 days of mounting pressure, a column of vapor and dust rose more than 5 miles into the sky. This most spectacular of Lassen's individual eruptions was widely publicized as the "Mushroom Cloud" or "Great Hot Blast." Meyers Photo.
