(3) Wed Jan 12 2005 20:24 MST: Last night, when I was trying to cut up spinach for the lasagne, I tried to cut my thumb off. Luckily, I have abnormally short thumbs, and even shorter fingernails. I just got a big scratch in my fingernail, which I have apparently already chewed off. I really need to quit biting my nails.

Me too. I read in this week's Newsweek it is genetic.
