[Comments] (1) [Trackback URL for this entry] Mini Golf in Bangalore: We drove out to a place called Fantasy Golf Resort today, to play some mini golf. I called ahead to see how much it was just to golf - Rs. 200, as opposed to Rs. 500 for all-you-can-do fun. The woman on the phone wanted to be sure that I realized it isn't regular golf. Got it. We really lucked out with a couple of dry days, because apparently the course isn't open if it's been raining.

It's out by the airport, about an hour drive. Yeah, we drove an hour to play mini golf. When we got there and said we just wanted to do golf, they first said we could only buy the package, and then wanted to be sure we realized it isn't regular golf. Just putting practice. Um, we didn't drive out here to drag our kids all over a golf course! Yes, we really want to mini golf!

Once we were on the course, several other groups came to play also. The course is fenced off, but you enter at the 9th hole. It took us a while to find the first green. The paths between holes were pebbled, and you had to climb in an out of the greens, and even jump down off a ledge or two. Kind of crazy. The scenery was great, though, and the course was fun. You can get a good feel for it from the pictures. John got 7 under par, and I got 2 over. Typical. Maggie scored about 150, and Dalton just carried his ball around and threw it any pipe he saw.

Also, they brought us a nice drink of cold juice as we were playing. Very refreshing. After our game, we wandered around the grounds. They have swimming, volleyball, badminton, children's play area, a pony, rabbits, fish, football field, etc. One of the employees brought some leaves for the kids to feed to the rabbits, which was really nice. They loved that.

The kids look like they had a good time. Dalton is getting to look more like John. Can't wait to see them again.
