Roy's Postcards: 1983/06/28

Inscription:

We stopped by 4 Corners today on our way to Rico. We bought some sand paintings from a Navajo who was selling Indian artifacts there.

Postcard back:

FOUR CORNERS MARKER
Where the states of Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico have a common meeting point. Here Navajo Indian Chief Goodluck stands with his feet in all four states at once.

Leonard's comments:

We still had those sand paintings long after my dad's death. They probably got sold at my mom's estate sale, since nobody wanted them all that badly.
