Roy's Postcards: 1983/11/05

Inscription:

Ken Howard (SAGGROUP Secretary) and I went to the National Airport and rode the subway from there to the Mall to see the monument, memorials, museums and the Capitol. It was very efficient and quick - it moved along at a good clip/

Postcard back:

SPACIOUS METRO STATIONS under the middle of Washington, D.C. opened in 1976 for sleek, quiet, high-speed trains of the Metro rapid rail transit system, called "the example for the world."

Leonard's comments:

Conceivably my dad's first subway trip.
