Roy's Postcards: 1984/01/28

Inscription:

We swung on the swings at Ferndell and had a picnic. Then we went hiking. We crossed over a little bridge way above where the tunnel is. We watched the Foucault Pendulum for a few minutes, but it did not knock down any little things.

Postcard back:

TIME
Artist: Hugo Ballin
To the left an Aztec points to an ancient calendar stone. Emperor Yao of China sits witnessing the execution of magicians who failed to prevent a solar eclipse. On the right is Ulugh Begh, grandson of Tamerlane and keen celestial observer.
