Roy's Postcards: 1984/09/13

Inscription:
After Bishopric meeting tonight, I took Richard McChesney and Gunther home. I hopped onto the Hollywood Freeway and headed downtown through all the towering buildings. I got off at Wilshire Blvd and head West. I drove by what is left of the Brown Derby - just the Derby - the rest is demolished - and now a parking lot - probably soon to give way to another high rise in the Wilshire District.
Postcard front:
The Brown Derby Restaurant
Postcard back:
The Brown Derby Restaurant, for years a famous landmark at 3427 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, California. Circa 1935.
Leonard's comments:
That's exactly what happened. Never fear--Disney has a bunch of replicas of the Brown Derby in its theme park.
