Roy's Postcards: 1985/02/21

Inscription:

Frances and I traveled the villages and canoes of Polynesia today. It was all exciting, though a long day - highlighted by the "This is Polynesia" show in the evening.

POLYNESIAN CULTURAL CENTER
Laie, Oahu, Hawaii
At the Polynesian Cultural Center the people of Polynesia have transplanted the crafts and charm of their homeland. Here you will watch Polynesians prepare native foods, marvel at the skills of their native craftsmen, and enjoy their rich heritage of legends, song and dances.

Leonard's comments:

The Polynesian Cultural Center is associated with BYU-Hawaii. The LDS church has a really weird relationship with Hawaii of which I understand nothing, except I'm pretty sure it stems from contigent facts of history and not any particular doctrine of the church.
