Roy's Postcards: 1986/05/26

Inscription:

Visited this fabulous place heading to Roswell, NM, after spending several days with Anne & family.

Postcard front:

Postcard back:

THE KNOTTED ROPE, CAVERNS OF SONORA, SONORA, TEXAS. Nature has formed many wonders in the Caverns of Sonora. One to be seen at the lowest point of the tour is this Knotted Rope. Here, deep in a subterranean wonderland, nature has sculptured fantastic, translucent and phosphorescent formations. So profuse are these spectacular formations that portions of the Cavern's walls, ceilings and floor are completely adorned. LOCATED JUST OFF U.S. HIGHWAY 290, at Sonora, Texas.

Leonard's comments:

I like to imagine Carl Sagan reading aloud the copy on the back of this postcard.
