Rachel and I visited the Aerospace Museum here in Los Angeles today.
With the protective service tower pulled back to the prelaunch position, the shuttle orbiter Challenger sits bathed in billion candlepower searchlights ready to embark on its next mission.

This was almost a year after the Challenger disaster, and they were still selling Challenger postcards.
