Roy's Postcards: 1987/11/02

Inscription:

I am on a United Express flight from Bakersfield to San Francisco to catch part of the SPMA Conference in Brooks Hall tomorrow. This is not a large plane, rather bumpy ride and duck your head as you walk down the aisle. Oh yes! Part of [the] instructions are that the flashlight is under the flight attendant's seat!

Postcard front:

BAKERSFIELD California
OIL DRILLING RIG
COTTON FIELD

Postcard back:

BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA is the county seat of Kern County, the number one oil producing county and the number three agricultural producing county in the nation. It is one of the fastest growing cities in California, combining big city convenience with old-fashioned western hospitality for the ultimate in pleasant living.

Leonard's comments:

The front of this postcard, at least, does not promise more than Bakersfield can deliver.
