Roy's Postcards: 1991/03/26

After a pleasant visit with Ellen & Bob Smith down in Red Bluff we drove down to Petaluma & saw the cheese factory. It was very interesting - we bought som[e] Camembert.

Postcard front:

Visitors Welcome
Grounds and Factory Closed After 5 P.M.

Postcard back:

A family enterprise managed by the 3rd, 4th & 5th generations of the Founding Family. Makers of the world famous "ROUGE et NOIR" brand cheeses BRIE, CAMEMBERT, BREAKFAST and SCHLOSS. All hand crafted in the same traditional manner as first made in France. Tours 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Leonard's comments:

If you drive by and it's after 5 P.M., just keep drivin'.

It's possible that Ellen and Bob Smith were the ones who had the awesome model train layout I remember so vividly, which led to the model train layouts in my story "Mallory".
