Dear Mom & Dad,
Just a brief note to let you know that I am doing very well. I am working really hard trying to accomplish much. I do surely hope that all are well.

Winter has arrived here--it got down to 40° last night.

Leonard's comments:

A postcard sent to my dad's parent during his LDS mission in Argentina. None of his family were/are Mormon, so I imagine there was some confusion or resentment over what he was going. The tone here is pretty formal.
