Feeding my "Muppet biology" obsession comes word that the South
African-produced edition of Sesame Street is
introducing an HIV-positive Muppet.
I think this is a good idea, to the extent that "we
need a character with x property" is ever a good idea, but I couldn't
figure out how a Muppet could catch a human disease. Then I realized:
she got it from her puppeteer.
