Tue Oct 04 2005 10:43 PST: Here's an excellent thesis on recommendation engines with overview and ideas for decentralizing the recommenders. It's got equations and everything. I'd pull a quote but it's in PDF and really who has the time? Life is too short to waste time justifying my decisions!
