[Comments] (4) : I did make pretzels, and they were great but I didn't oil the pan so they stuck. Oh well. One lives, and, occasionally, learns.

I finished the revision on my Cheetah article, and submitted the first draft of my CherryPy article, so now I'm ready for my next overambitious project! Man, this is a big one.

As an expert, or at least experienced, pretzel-maker, I can tell you that no matter how much you grease the pan pretzels will stick. Did you put them in boiling soda water? I think the water eats away at whatever grease is on the pan. I've probably made pretzels 10 times and maybe one didn't stick too bad.
But the crispy parts taste like the fake hard pretzels you buy in the store so I still liked them.

Susanna, have you tried baking the pretzels on top of parchment paper? Sumana thinks that would help. Even if they did stick, they would stick to the parchment paper and not be such a mess.

Or Silpat maybe?

I am cheap and don't have any parchment paper, but I suppose I could try wax paper, which I have and never use. I suppose I will try that next time I make pretzels (in CA cause I'm out of flour.)
