Speaking of which, while reading slush I got a rejection email from an anthology I'd submitted to. So... yeah.

It hasn't been two weeks since our first submission and we haven't sent out any responses yet, but it's not too early for me to be amazed. We've been sent a lot of good stuff. And honestly, not nearly as much bad stuff as I'd been expecting. I'm also learning a lot about writing, especially from the elusive "good stuff I don't want to buy" pile. I totally understand all my rejection letters now.
