- Johnny Dangerously (1984): The first 30 minutes of this movie are really, really funny; a nonstop gag assault in the style of Airplane!. Then the plot happens, and the comedy kind of loses momentum. It's still pretty funny though, and if you're one of the few living people who still watches old gangster movies you'll appreciate this long-overdue parody. I do think this movie would have been more successful if it had come out in the mid-1960s, but Hollywood was in one of its periodic "comedies don't need to be funny" phases.
