[Comments] (5) : Good old Dubya spewed out an endorsement of the federal marriage amendment today. The man has GOT TO GO, I tell you! He's going to get a pile more votes from all the conservative Christians now.

Those people are dangerous.

I am shaking my head at the way the Church is crawling over itself to be considered "Christian." From where I sit, Christian is not all that great of a thing to be. For one thing, they believe in justification by grace, which absolutly doesn't fly in my book, and they believe that they are the only people who have the opportunity to be saved. In addition, they believe that they should be able to dictate how everyone else should live, what they should read, and what should be studied in school.

These people have and promote a bigoted fundamentalist mindset, and I think we can do very well without them and the Christian-in-Chief.

I am a "conservative Christian" and you have me stereotyped. I don't believe what you say I believe.

No, Kristen, you are a conservative Mormon. The "conservative Christians" don't think you are one of them because of fundamental erroneous doctrinal beliefs; what's more, they think you never can be one of them. They are saved and we are damned by God's grace, and that's that. We believe in a lot of things they don't, starting with revelation and going on through a three-personage Godhead and arriving at a resurrected Christ with a physical body. These teachings are all blasphemy to the Christians.

I am Christian and believe in a three person Godhead also, the father, the son and the Holy Spirit which are all one entity. I also believe in Christ resurrected as a physical body. Perhaps your views of Christians are skewed as it is assumed our views of Mormons are. I don't believe the things you say I believe. I also believe ANYONE who believes in Jesus Christ will be saved, regardless their political, social, or religious viewpoint. ~~~hearts~~~

Yeah, Mom, you're stereotyping them as much as they are us.

I don't want to rock the boat. I misunderstood who the conservative Christians were that you were talking about. I thought you meant the "Church" you were referring to was our church.
