I walked over to the cafeteria with Bev Kieper, bought a tuna sandwich, ate half of it, threw it up. I'm hungry again now but don't know if I dare eat anything. It was nice visiting with Bev; this summer it will be a good thing to spend some time with her. One of the students this morning asked about my IV. That's a first for me. Usually people don't mention it so they can pretend it's not there. I am doing my laundry.

Well. Today was a qualified success. The waitlist option on the registration seems to be working fairly smoothly. I don't have enough room for all the students though. I hope some more drop, but they appear to be a good group. I had them write a practice writing proficiency, and most of them did ok. There was only one student with awful, tangled up sentences.

Did they ask nicely or rudely? (I'm doing laundry too!)

They grovel and beg.

Oh, or do you mean about the IV, not about adding the class? He asked politely.

So do you just wait to tell your students you have AIDS until someone asks? And usually they don't ask? Just curious.
At my work I read a lot of stories people submit to us in hopes to be reunited. I can not believe the grammar and spelling errors that they contain. It is funny but really sad.Posted by Frances. at Tue Jun 08 2004 12:28
Right. If the administration finds out about it I'm probably gone.

That descriminatory. Where's the ACLU when you need them? Oh yeah, they are too busy picking the wrong battles (fighting over a dumb plaza in SLC that the church legally purchased, etc)...

BC doesn't seem to care about their discriminatory practices.

That is outrageous. What do the staff think or say? I can't imagine them being so shallow not to mention illegal.
