I got around it though. I saved the attachment and then opened it with WordPerfect, which unlike SOME programs can read a lot of other ones.

LuJean sent her daughter Rosie's essay for me to proof, so I had to install Microsoft Word on my new computer. I have a disk of Office 97 that Art Hendricksen gave me. I installed it, but it wouldn't open LuJean's attachment. Windows wanted me to use Office 2003 and wouldn't take no for an answer. Grrr. I think that is really cold, to fix things up so only one kind of product can be used.
