La Vie En Rose for 2003 January

: All set up in my new place. So far so good.

I keep forgetting I'm not in england anymore.

: Our DSL, for some unknown reason, has been shut down, but luckily for me there are these ports in the library where I can plug my computer into. Of course, I could just use the computers that are already here, but thats not complicated enough for me. I've had all of my classes now, and I like them, but I have a feeling French is going to kick my butt. Susie and I are discussing ways I could make more friends: 1. take a yoga class 2. join a protest group 3. run for student office (but I dont think they're having elections) 4. rush 5. walk around with a sign that says "I need friends" 6. speak with a British accent. What gets your vote? let me know.

: I met another European Studies major in my art history discussion. These people actually exsist!!! I'm not the only one!!!

: Back from Riverside, where there was much reminising (sp?) and picture exchanging with Laura, Kathy, and Marisa. Just had lunch with Christina, even more reminising and I got to show off my newly obtained pictures. Tommorrow I am heading back home to collect more stuff, give Jen and Erin their MK, and go to a baby shower for my cousin Shannon!! Susie: I think I am going to win.

: I just got back from the gym. Goodbye, excess London baggage!!! I'm thinking about taking a horsebackriding rec class...

: I had a sucessful weekend hanging out with friends and I actually got some work done, too (even though the work actually only involved going to the Norton Simon museum... I reccomend) but more real work tommorrow.

: What a day!! (and its not over yet). I must say I am impressed with how the new MK foundation, which I am trying, is holding up! I had a conversation with a girl over lunch that made us both miss England (TopShop!!) ran into about 5 people from London, was late to virtually all my classes, walked 500 miles (unnecesarily, it turns out) to make illegal photocopies of the Art Hist books I am too poor to buy, and learned that I'll have no idea what classes I still need to take for my major until the grades come in and we figure out whether the classes are UD or not. Hmm...

Tonight: French movie for extra credit, EAP returnee panel, food shopping (or maybe I can get by one more day) and STUDY!!

: MMMM.... lasagne....

I don't think I've switched the time stamp back from England yet... I know Leonard sent me an email about it, and I think I still have it, but I'm lazy, so you can just subtract 8 hours.. thats not a problem is it?

: HP 5 comes out on June 21st! Yippee! Now I have something to get me through the rest of the school year.

There was even a sentence on Amazon.com: "Dumbledore lowered his hands and surveyed Harry through his half-moon glasses. 'It is time,' he said 'for me to tell you what I should have told you five years ago, Harry. Please sit down. I am going to tell you everything.'

How exciting! I wonder what it is...
