Prof Rosecrance read the same excerpt from Ulysses that Mom read at Aunt Jeuney's funeral:It may be that the gulfs will wash us down;/
It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles,/
And see the great Achilles, whom we knew./
Tho' much is taken, much abides; and tho'/
We are not now that strength which in old days/
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,--/
One equal temper of heroic hearts,/
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will/
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
I like him. That's why I'm taking another class with him next quarter. Am Foreign Policy. Should be lots of fun. Thu Dec 04 2003 04:41:
Wow. I've been done with class for almost half an hour and just now realized it! Well, I don't really feel done because I still have two papers and two finals. I think I did ok on my French test. Passing is looking likely. We'll see how my paper went when I go to office hours in a few... *shudders*. I'me going to schedule, like, 20 hours to write this next paper. We'll see if I can get to 5 pages.
