Roy's Postcards: Unknown date


I had a great time hiking, veiwing, and loking at wildlife. Of course We did not see this bob cat but we saw really pretty birds and even several chipmunks. We got a picture of one and Daddy gave it a piece of apple chip! It was neat!

Postcard back:

Bobcat (Felis ratus) Found only in North America, the Bobcat is the most common wildcat. It is an expert climber, sometimes resting on low branches waiting to pounce on game below. The Bobcat gets its common name from its stubby or "bobbed" tail.
