Susie's Leaning Tower of Chocolate

Trying to convince Marlow that cooking isn’t the end of the world. Dalton says “you don’t cook pasta, you just sit there while pasta happens.”

Arthur has been saying “Mawk” for months - getting various groups of friends (Roblox buddies, basketball camp, swim team friends) all into it as well. This week at the family reunion, Asher asked John what his favorite word was. Now I’m pretty sure touche is going to surpass Mawk.

I spent most of today sitting on the couch. Reading AMERICAN FANTASY, doing puzzles on my phone, doing sudoku in the book Dalton got me for Christmas, and hanging out with the kids as they came in and out and sat with me. Marlow did homework. Wally alternated sleeping on my feet and doing tricks with Sienna. Dalton played Mario and Kirby with Sienna. Arthur played on his iPad, and was in and out playing with the neighbor. Dalton and I ended the day sitting on the couch together while Wally moped on the floor, waiting for Marlow to get home from work.

Meanwhile John made us an avocado toast buffet for brunch and it was spot on. So fresh and tasty.

Arthur's favorite animal these days is giraffes. We went to the Hogle Zoo to feed giraffes for his Christmas present. He also likes to yell out "Capybara" all the time.

Shows - 11 Broadway shows - Once Upon a Mattress, Kimberly Akimbo, The Devil Wears Prada, Annie, Mamma Mia!, Life of Pi, & Juliet, Operation Mincemeat, Some Like it Hot, Moulin Rouge!, and Shucked. 3 of these were with Rachel! Once Upon a Mattress in LA, and the Devil Wears Prada and Operation Mincemeat in London.

Also saw Marlow in Shrek, Midsummer Night’s Dream and Disaster one act, and Sienna in Shrek Jr and Fame Jr

3 new countries - Portugal, Honduras and The Netherlands

Exhibits and Events- terracotta warriors, Pac-Man, British museum, Tate modern, Van Gogh Museum, Katherine Center and Duff Goldman author events

Disney- 23 Disney visits this year, including girls nights, Tressa and I taking our boys, Oogie Boogie Bash with the Adams and the Prestons, and two food dates.

A lot of soccer, track, cross country, and swim meets

First jobs for Marlow and Dalton.

Halloween costume- Disney’s Robin Hood Books read - 52 - favorite: The Husbands

Hikes - 25 and most quite short. Been dealing with knee pain and general busyness

Family Events - Marlow graduating. Sienna starting middle school. Dalton drivers license. John and I joined the UCI Parent Executive Board

Work - currently working 3 jobs - CBTL, Goodman Estate Law, and Rich Lit Rights
