Roy's Postcards: 1982/11/13

Inscription:

I went with Daddy to see "Lady and the Tramp". We also saw the dinosaur bones, badger and Honey bird, giraffe, rocks and lots of birds — owls, ducks, seagulls, eagles and bats.

Postcard back:

CHIMPANZEE
Pan troglodytes
Chimpanzees occur in the rain forests and montane forests of Africa from Sierra Leone eastward to Uganda and Tanzania. Sleeping hours are spent in tree nests, newly built each night. This group depicts four chimpanzees in the Kibale Forest of western Uganda at sunset, preparing to settle down for the night.

Leonard's comments:

Sounds like a fun time.

Bats are not birds! There, I said it.
