My Dear Leonard,
It was very nice to talk to you on the phone tonight. I love you very much and look forward to seeing you and Mommy and Susanna and Wootie [Rachel] tomorrow night. I visited the National Air and Space Museum today and bought this card for you - I hope that you like the airplane with a person standing on the wings.

I have been reading about a man named B.H. Roberts and what happened to him when he was 5 years old like you. I'll tell you some of the stories when I get home.

I am sending a postcard of an airplane because you asked me to get you some more. Also, I have some more that I will be sending you.

I love you, Boo [Leonard]. Be a good boy. Do what Mommy says. Help your sisters, and have a very happy Halloween.
Daddy
