Roy's Postcards: 1986/11/12

Inscription:

Rachel,
I hope that you are having a good time. We are having fun. We will see this building on Saturday. I love you.
Daddy

Postcard back:

A view of the Lincoln Memorial as seen from the top of the Washington Monument and showing the famous Reflecting Pool. The classic white marble building was designed by Henry Bacon and completed in 1922. The 36 Doric columns of the portico represent the number of states in the Union at the time of Lincoln's death.
