Roy's Postcards: 1986/11/15
Inscription:
Leonard, Frances and I went to the National Museum of Natural History and went to the Insect Zoo. We saw lots of lovely insects.
Postcard back:
Cone-headed grasshoppers, Copiphora Rhinoceros, are found in Central South America. These grasshoppers feed on seeds but may be predacious on small insects. The males make a loud calling song to attract the females for mating.
